Night Vision is a free app that takes advantage of the LiDAR scanner and TrueDepth Camera found in iPhones and iPads. It has the ability to scan and detect distances even in pitch-black environments.

Principle

In well-lit environments, the app combines the rear standard camera with the LiDAR Scanner or TrueDepth Camera to ensure optimum image quality. However, when you find yourself in completely dark environments, the imaging process is solely handled by the rear LiDAR scanner or infrared camera.

Supported devices

All Apple devices equipped with LiDAR scanning capabilities or the Face ID feature are supported by Night Vision.

Features

• Real-time push: In real-time, you can push night vision images to your Apple Watch, mobile phones, tablets, and computers. This allows you to view night vision images as they are captured.
• Off-screen mode: With just a single click, you can simulate an off-screen environment with significant darkness.
• Distance detection: Customize the minimum distance and detection area based on your preferences. The app provides real-time vibration alerts when the set detection range or minimum distance is reached.
• Take photos: Capture photos using the app and save them directly to your device's system album.
• Video recording: Record LiDAR video along with regular camera video and conveniently save the footage to your device's system album.
• Camera switch: Easily switch between the LiDAR camera and the regular camera as required.
